S/o to the coolest parents ever. I’m off to see my Swede, the most sweetest Swede of them all. ( It doesn’t really rhyme but I hope you sang that in the tune of The Wizard of Oz, I know I did.) My parents & I just booked my tickets!!!(I’m literally crying right now)
Yes you read that Right…it is official!!!! My dream vacation is finally coming to life! I am going to visit my Swede, Alex Jansson (Insta), aka my kindred spirit. We are so alike its crazy. From having practically the same taste in men, to purses…I’d say were the same person… Maybe besides the fact that she lives a million miles away, is 4 inches taller than me and we look nothing alike but other than that… Hahaa
Heres some background to help you visualize how we became friends:
Alex had this epiphany several years ago and just realized she wanted to be a foriegn exchange student. So in 2014 it was set, Olivia Alexandra Jansson would be an exchange student in America for the 2015/2016 school year. Of course she was hoping she would go to one of super groovy places in the US but Orange Beach, Al was just meant for her I guess. I’d like to say that everything happens for a reason & God wanted her to go to my High School. I am forever greatful she did. We became such good friends within those 10 months and still talk everyday.
August 28th 2015: I was a junior in highschool who was very active in attending football games at the time. Alex came up to me and complimented me on my top. “Is your top from Brandy Melville? It’s so cute!” That right there is an ice breaker for me…when I notice that you are into the same clothing as me we might as well be besties. As you know fashion is a big aspect in my life. I remember being so happy Alex made that “move”. Because I had really wanted talk to her when I realized she was new and super interesting and cool. We hit it off and have been friends ever since.(-:
She is one of my best friends. From talking about boys to sharing secrets to spending our afternoons binge watching Sex and the City, Alex and I are so alike and I am so blessed to have met her… & even more blessed that my parents have bought me a plane ticket to see her as a early graduation gift!
As the school year ended and it was time for her to go back to Stockholm I said my goodbyes to her and dropped her off. It was then we had decided that this wouldn’t be the last time… And by that I mean literally a few days later we decided I was going to visit her the following June/ July after I graduated. Haha
My iterary isn’t final but these are dates I have so far:
I will leave for Stockholm, Sweden on June 15th, 2017. Alex and I will stay in her homeland until June 25th. That same day we will take a short, inexpensive flight to London, England.($50!!! Isnt that insane?!? No wonder Europeans are always well traveled.) We will stay there until the 30th of June. Then take a flight to Venice, Italy (I went there the same time I went to Rome 4 years ago and I almost died it really is the most beautiful place I have ever been to in my whole life hands down and everyone needs to go once in their life!!!!) & spend around four days there as well! After that we will fly to Rome, Italy! (I CAN FINALLY PUT MY SECOND COIN IN THERE! They say once you return and throw a coin in the fountain you will find love!😉🙂😍💖) haha we will spend 4 days there!! From there we will fly to Paris , France ( I have wanted to go there since I saw the pictures of my mom frolicking around with her pals & the beauty that the city of light holds.) While we are there we will spend 1 of the 6 days in disneyland Paris, I’m not sure what days yet. We are spending the other 5 days surrounded by the romance of the glamorous city. July 13th, our last day together. (at least for then) Alex will catch a flight to Stockhom where she is meeting her mom, & I will fly out of Paris to go home after my month(28 days) long trip. Honestly I am so excited and happy that my parents have bought the flight tickets for me and allowing me to go!(: the only deal was that I have to pay for the hotels/airbnb homes that we will be staying in and since Alex and I will be splitting the prices I’ll only have to pay around $850 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 for that! I figured with food and other souvenirs I buy I’ll have enough money saved up from what I will be getting from friends and family as graduation gifts plusextra money ive saved up from my job.. Which is great❤️(:
As soon as I get to Sweden I will post all about my arrival and the first few days of my visit (Stockhom travel diary), as well as the other places I’ll be at! I just wanted to share with you what you should be expecting from my blog in the next 6 months. Until next time…Ciao
