Me, myself, and I

Whether you are single or you just really love being alone(hahah me 24/7). You would probably like to go on little “dates “with yourself. Here I have composed a little list with things you can do with/for yourself if you are really feeling for a day of pure leisure and loneliness (; 

  1. The ultimate spa afternoon!  1st Go by the grocery store and pick up a few things including: magazines (or a nice book if you are like me). Fresh new nail polish color these are the colors of the season, get one of those then go to your fave nail salon and they will professionally paint your nails for under $6! A face mask if you don’t already have one, I prefer Queen Helene’s mint julep face mask. This mask is sooooo sooooo refreshing and I love it! Oh and while I read (or do work) I love to listen to Beethoven, he really knows how to keep a girl concentrated.
  2. Popcorn and a movie! This is one of the most liberating, pleasant experiences ever. Nothing beats buttery, perfectly salted, movie theater ๐Ÿฟ. Just talking about it makes me hungry. Go see a movie that you know will make you happy, maybe it’s a movie none of your friends are into. Here are all the movies that are out or are about to be, just waiting to be watched by you, your lone self, and your massive bucket of popcorn.
  3. Journal! Being alone is possibly the best time to journal! No distractions at all. You can journal about all sorts of things all the way from what you ate to day to Jesus ( two best things to write about) haha I keep both a “bible journal” and a daily life journal that I write in almost everyday if not once a week for the past several years. You can just write down a recap of what have been going on just to keep your journal up to date. Plus they are REALLY enjoyable to go back and read them as the years go by.
  4. Clean! Maybe I am weird but maybe I am not and there’s more people out therewho  like to occasionally clean for fun!?!!? Not only are you detoxing your room but you are also going to be so happy and relaxed when you are done with your masterpiece.
  5. Netflix!  Obviously. Just you and the TV, but the benefit of being solo is selecting what you, and only YOU want to watch. My favorite shows right now would have to be: vampire diaries, friends, and no tomorrow. These are all on Netflix right now, I have 3 depending on my mood lol. If you are stumped check out my favorite movies! I love watching netflix and eating ramen โค๏ธ
  6. COLOR!!! I don’t want to hear “I can’t draw.” NO!! Buy yourself some brand new crayons, a fun little “adult” (or princess, I won’t judge) coloring book and have at it. Once I got into it I lost track of time. I didn’t realize how much I actually enjoyed it as a kid.
  7. Volunteer! When I was younger I was forever volunteering at the old folks home when he wanted me too. I guess we just stopped going once school came back but I reamember enjoying seeing the smiles on those people’s faces and it making me feel very ๐Ÿ˜Š happy!.
  8. Coffee shop! You can take a book or your trusty laptop as a companion, but make sure to order a large version of your favorite drink and perhaps a snack, then stay a while. Donโ€™t leave until you can smell coffee beans within the fabric of your clothing. 
  9. Self indulge! Go to the grocery store and buy the most decadent dessert ever. I mean if you enjoy baking like I do just bake something nice to fulfill your craving! My favorite dessert would have to be cold cake or brownies a la mode oh and cheesecake..( I make a mean cheesecake!!) 
  10. Go shopping like a baller! This is good for several reasons but the main one being YOU CAN SPEND AS LONG AS YOU WANT WALKING THROUGHOUT EVERY INCH OF THE STORE WITH NO ONE TELLING YOU TO HURRY UP. 
  11. BONUS!!! Exercise! BONUS!!! When I am alone I love love love to do a extra long yoga session (I look mine up on YouTube). I will turn the lights off and plug in my lamp and light a few candles and woo it is nice(,: OR if you are more of an intense person (๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธsometimes I can be ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ )  go for an extra long run or a scenic bike ride! Plus it’ll make you feel really good about yourself especially if you gave in and did #9 on my list lol.
